Maori Language Week

This week we have been working with learners from across the school in a range of activities to celebrate Te Reo week. The theme for the week was 'Kia Ora' - Hello. Each day two learners from Te Ara Maia led an assembly where speakers from across the school presented their Mihi, we learnt a new phrase of the day and a waiata of the day. Some of the activities that we did were weaving, poi, rakau, maori yoga, maori myths and a whole lot more. We all had an amazing week and enjoyed taking part in all the activities and learning experiences
