Some of the learners in Te Ara Maia are raising money for the SPCA as part of their work towards their GROW Portfolios focusing on "Respecting ourselves, our community and our environment" by making a difference. Every week on a Friday a group of learners bake something for our morning tea with Dena. This is then shared with the learners who are asked to contribute a small donation if they wish which will be collected and given to the SPCA at the end of the term. So far we have eaten yummy chocolate and choc chip cupcakes, scones and chocolate cake.
